Q: what exactly is the difference between the "plain" UT-100C and the OpenCaster bundle?
A: as of know the OpenCaster release 3.2 is officially only available on the bundle package, because we want people subsidizing the open source project to get MORE value for their money. this is how free (as freedom) software can sustain itself.
Q: The OpenCaster software is open source and freely available, so does this mean there is some additional component delivered with this bundle which is not part of the standard OpenCaster?
A:
YES. the standard package is meant to use as TS source
and sink the UDP transport. the UT100C application "tsrfsend"
is only available on
the bundle package. Of course it's still open source.
